Sonocat is an advanced handheld instrument for 3D acoustic measurements. With a spherical array of eight MEMS microphones and integrated hardware, it captures parameters like sound pressure, particle velocity, intensity, and impedance. Its intuitive software enables real-time monitoring and analysis.

A key feature: Sonocat separates incident and reflected sound without global field assumptions. This allows in-situ measurement of absorption coefficients and transmission loss—without an artificial sound source. It’s the only handheld device offering this capability.
